Leipzig-Liverpool match in Germany can be played in Budapest
In the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, Leipzig and Liverpool’s fight to play in Germany on February 16, 2021 has been blocked by the coronavirus. While the German government banned entry into the country from countries affected by the mutations of Covid-19, the British team Liverpool, where our national player Ozan Kabak was preparing to wear, was also affected by this ban. After the Federal Police Department rejected Leipzig’s special request for his rival, Liverpool, to enter the country, UEFA played the game in another country. The capital of Hungary, Budapest, which is chosen as one of the safe areas, stands out with the possibility of being the place where the match will be played. According to the news in the German press, the Leipzig team should make a statement to UEFA on whether the match will be played until Monday, February 8.
